Advanced Speech and Language Therapist - Neuro Rehab London, The Wellington Hospital Full time: Monday – Friday 37.5 hour per week 9am – 5pm Permanent £Competitive salary dependent on experience We’re looking for an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neuro Rehabilitation Speech and Language Therapy team at The Wellington Hospital, currently rated “Good” by the CQC and home to the largest private hospital-based rehabilitation centre in the UK. In the 20 years since our Rehabilitation centre launched we’ve established an international reputation for delivering the very best rehabilitation programmes, transforming the lives of thousands of patients. Our Speech and Language Therapy team plays a vital role across both our acute medical ward and Neurological rehabilitation wards. As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist, you will have a proven track record of working in Neuro Rehabilitation environments. We work with diverse medical and surgical presentations across our neuro-surgical, spinal, oncology, general medical, and critical care units. MDT and interdisciplinary working form a key part of our work. You will also be part of the HCA SLT Acute Network who meet regularly to discuss the latest developments in evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives. In return for your expertise, you’ll have the chance to work alongside some of the top Neuro consultants, get access to training and professional development, and work with high-level, state-of-the-art, assistive technology to supplement your Speech and Language Therapy interventions. What you’ll bring: Professional qualification in Speech and Language Therapy Registered member of HCPC Significant experience of working within a neuro rehab hospital setting. Evidence of successful completion of tracheostomy competency framework & able to independently manage these patients within a critical care environment. Evidence of successful completion of Level 3 videofluoroscopy competencies/ MBSIMP. Competencies in FEES is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. Why HCA UK?
