We are on the search for motivated Band 2 Emergency Nursing Assistants to work in our department and become embedded within our team. We strive to provide the best support and nurture for our staff, so they can be the best they can be, and provide safe quality care for our patients. Education is at the heart of our departmental ethos and you will be provided with a rigorous induction programme and support from our practice development sister. You will have access to in-house study days and learning skills from Minors to Immediate Life Support. You will have the opportunity to work in a variety of different clinical settings and gain new skills. Ideally, candidates should have acute hospital or equivalent front-line experience and should be prepared to work a variety of shifts including internal rotation, weekends/nights, and bank holidays. An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic, kind, and dedicated team players to join our Emergency Department as Band 2 Emergency Nursing Assistants. This post offers an excellent learning opportunity for experienced Nursing Assistants to work within the emergency care setting. We are looking for caring, committed, flexible, and hardworking Nursing Assistants, with good written and verbal communication skills. A Healthcare-related NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent at Level 2 is essential, and previous experience of working within an acute hospital trust is also very desirable. The post holder will work under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse or Doctor and will be accountable to the Registered Nurse you are working with. You will support and enhance the delivery of quality care by assisting patients in all aspects of their care, in order to promote a positive patient experience, in line with our Patient First Programme. Work to ensure that the workplace is free from harassment and discrimination. Welcome patients and visitors to the department. Provide/receive complicated and sensitive information relating to patient care, communicating clearly, concisely, and accurately, and escalating enquiries where appropriate. Communicate at all times with tact and empathy, and interact appropriately with patients and relatives/carers where barriers to communication may exist. Qualifications

Healthcare related NVQ, BTEC or equivalent at Level 2. GCSE Maths & English or Functional Skills Level 2. Care certificate. Knowledge

6 months experience working as a care assistant in an acute setting. Understanding of health and safety and infection control. Skills

Flexible and adaptable. Good attendance and timekeeping. Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues. Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles (as appropriate to role). Disclosure and Barring Service Check
