Prison located in Lancashire. HMP Kirkham is an open prison for males that has a strong focus on rehabilitation, allowing inmates to focus on gaining qualifications and joining workshops. Hours: Monday - Friday - 0800 - 1900 Weekends & Bank Holidays - 0800 - 1200 hours per week This position is full time. You'll receive an annual salary from £28,247 up to £32,346 per annum FTE - depending on experience. How will we support you? Main duties of the job: As a Registered Nurse Associate, your responsibilities will include: Providing outstanding care to our patients, listening to and acting on their feedback so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them. Contributing to and implementing care packages, assisting with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics, as well as assisting patients with activities of daily living and personal care. Delivering non-judgemental care involving anything from health promotion clinics and observations to supporting the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care within healthcare centres and on wings and house blocks. Inspiring excellence by forging strong links within our teams, our partners and stakeholders and providing a service that people can trust, feel safe within and feel proud of. Promoting best practice, evidence-based care and continuous quality improvement, embedding a culture of shared learning. Qualifications required: Qualified Nurse Associate Currently registered with the NMC Training to level 3 in the safeguarding of vulnerable people Demonstrate current/recent preceptorship pathway since joining the NMC register Evidence of post-registration CPD in areas relating to current practice Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community, or prison environment.
