Health and Social Care Lecturer . This is a part-time role for 13.75 hours per week. Working hours will be allocated across 4 days. The information below provides more detail about the role and you may also wish to learn a little more about working for South Hampshire College Group by viewing the below video. We offer great benefits including: 10 weeks leave per year (pro rata) Pension fund of up to 28.68% per annum Regular training and development Pathways to teaching qualifications Duties: Teach on courses and work to develop an outstanding provision that has a positive impact on the learner and assessment process. Assist in the development of teaching and learning materials, preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and maintaining records to monitor learner progression, achievement and attendance. Provide appropriate and relevant guidance for learners enabling them to develop knowledge, understanding and skills. Develop and implement timely, safe, consistent and relevant assessment plans and resources that are linked to initial and current assessments. Skills/Experience: Utilising your wealth of technical skills and experience to teach students on programmes at level 1, 2 and 3 through theory and practical knowledge. Teaching/tutoring/mentoring experience with apprentices, part-time or full-time learners. A passion for imparting knowledge and skills to create better futures for our students. Well-organised with excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages. Qualifications: Minimum GCSE Grade 4/C in English & Maths or equivalent. Level 3 qualification in relevant area of expertise. Commitment to achieving teaching qualifications. Assessor and Moderator/IQA Award is desirable. Ideal Attributes: Comfortable talking and engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. A highly organised, collaborative and enthusiastic team player. A keen interest in your industry and willingness to undergo further training and development. A passion for imparting knowledge and skills. Ambitious, professional, respectful and resilient, thriving in a high trust and high performance culture. Ability to make a significant contribution in our mission to provide excellence and opportunity in both technical and professional education, training and apprenticeships.
