£27,500 - £28,700 plus sleep in allowance Job Description We are currently seeking a Senior Support Worker for our client who provides exceptional care within children's services. This role is ideal for an experienced professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people. Key Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of support workers, providing guidance and supervision Develop and implement individualised care plans for children, tailored to their specific needs Support children in their personal development, helping them build life skills and achieve their goals Ensure high standards of care and safeguarding are maintained Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, teachers, and healthcare providers Conduct assessments and reviews, maintaining accurate records and documentation Participate in and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures Provide training and support to less experienced staff Requirements Relevant qualifications in health and social care or a related field, such as a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Significant experience working in a support role within children's services Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role, including staff management and development Sound understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices, including the Children Act and Working Together to Safeguard Children Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends Full UK driving licence Please note:
