We're looking for a

Bid Manager

within our Rail Infrastructure Customer Services team, where you will play a critical role in driving the success of our bids and proposals. This role requires someone with a strong character and excellent resilience, as you'll navigate complex challenges and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment to deliver successful bids. You will manage the end-to-end bid process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver compelling, competitive, and high-quality bids for rail infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure we provide innovative service solutions to our clients, while aligning with Siemens' mission of advancing mobility with sustainable technologies. The team are based in one of our key locations, Chippenham; however, our hybrid approach allows us to consider your application if you're not within daily reach of this site.

You'll create impact by

Managing the full bid lifecycle for tenders typically ranging from £100k to £20m, ensuring successful, high-quality submissions. Creating compelling tender documentation that is consistent, accurate, and minimizes company risks, while integrating lessons learned. Leading internal bid deliverables and securing approvals, ensuring timely progress across all stages. Effectively managing business resources and negotiating with stakeholders at all levels to keep bids on track. Acting as the primary client contact, negotiating technical, financial, and commercial aspects of bids pre- and post-submission. Facilitating smooth handovers from the tender team to the delivery phase, ensuring scope stability and project alignment.

Your success will be grounded by Your win rate and quality of tender documentation in a similar role and large matrix organisation. A proactive and confident approach, with a strong will to engage and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across various levels. Your extensive bid management experience with significantly high-level budgets. An understanding of Railway technology projects would be an advantage. A strong ability to negotiate in complex situations. Degree-level qualifications and expert-level MS package knowledge.
