My client is a manufacturer of small volume/bespoke Maritime Transport Vehicles (including small Yachts and Tenders) who are now looking to hire a General Manager/Head of Operations to steer their manufacturing facility near Farnborough. The role will oversee a broad Production orientated team of c.40 people. It is also intended that this person will be customer facing (typical target customers are UHNWI's), appearing at trade shows internationally and liaising with customers to ensure purchases are delivered on time and customer expectations are fulfilled (albeit there is a separate, designated Sales function). The business is going through a period of growth and there is realization that they need to bring in an experienced Operational Lead to build process and best practice into the organization - ideally implement a "Continuous Improvement" mindset.
