Casual Assistant Nursery Cook/Chef at Forest Barn Nursery School, Storal A beautifully converted barn with wonderful outdoor spaces is home to Forest Barn Nursery School in Brentwood. We are looking for a passionate and ambitious Assistant Nursery Chef/Cook who will prepare nutritionally balanced, freshly prepared meals and be responsible for the safe and hygienic management of the nursery kitchen. Provide balanced and nutritional meals for all children attending the nursery and catering for children with specific dietary needs. Instill Storal Values to Food and Hygiene and compliance with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health-Food Safety, Health and Safety and within the guidelines of Ofsted. Ensure all children are kept safe and have rich stimulating experiences. Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation. Be aware of COSHH and follow relevant guidelines. Deputise for the Cook in all absences with the expectation of deputising full time when required. About you:
Level 2 Food and Hygiene. Minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role. Understanding of Health and Safety regulations and COSHH. Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together. What we can offer you:
Salary: From £11.44 up to £12.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications. Storal will cover the cost of transport to the nursery setting. Annual wellness day off. Company sick pay. Access to retail and other discounts through Perkbox. Holidays increasing to 22 days after 2 years service and 25 days after 5 years service. Performance related bonuses.
