Faculty of Environment, Science & Economy INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY The Faculty wishes to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to participate in the ‘Understanding the Value of Outdoor Culture and Heritage Capital for Decision Makers’ project. This AHRC funded post is available from 1st Jan 2025 – 13th June 2025. The post The successful candidate will join the environmental economics core of an interdisciplinary and novel collaboration between the University of Exeter, National Trust, and Forestry England. Together we will deliver cutting edge research into the value of culture and heritage capital and how this can be disentangled from the values that individuals derive from natural capital. The post is jointly funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and the Dept. for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Working with the two largest landowners in England, the role benefits from unrivalled access to data, knowledge, and sites, as well as opportunities for working across organisations and participating in cross-disciplinary workshops and training programmes. About you The successful applicant will be able to develop research objectives, projects and proposals; identify sources of research funding and contribute to the process of securing funds and make presentations at conferences and other events. Applicants will possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study. The successful applicant will be a nationally recognised authority and possess sufficient specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop research programmes and methodologies. The successful applicant will also be able to work collaboratively, supervise the work of others and act as team leader as required.
