Job Title: SEN PMLD Teaching Assistant, Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire, Employer: Academics Ltd Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications, Contract Type: Full-Time/Temporary/Temp to Perm roles available Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? The Role: As an SEN PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the development and well-being of students with profound and multiple learning difficulties. Working in a supportive and inclusive environment, you will help create a safe and nurturing space where students can learn and grow. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with PMLD. Assisting with personal care, mobility, and other daily activities. Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials. Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborating with the classroom teacher, therapists, and other professionals. Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour. Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should have: Experience working in an educational setting, preferably with students who have PMLD. A genuine passion for supporting and nurturing children with special educational needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and adaptability. Relevant qualifications, such as a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant healthcare training, is a plus but not mandatory. DBS on the update service or willing to get one.
