The Lymphoma and CLL team at NUH are looking for a new colleague to join their integrated forward-thinking service. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading centre at the forefront of research and clinical innovation in haemato-oncology. This is a replacement post with a revised job plan reflecting clinical service developments in lymphoma and CLL. The successful candidate should have a demonstrable clinical and research interest in lymphoma. The Department is one of the largest centres for the treatment of haematological malignancies in the UK with a strong reputation for clinical trials and clinical research. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious and confident Consultant keen to further develop clinical, research and leadership skills in a dynamic inclusive team. The successful candidate will join the Lymphoma and CLL teams alongside the four current substantive consultants, supported by two lymphoma fellows, four clinical nurse specialists, and a large clinical research team. An NHS-England accredited CAR-T program will begin in early 2023. This role offers opportunities to participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, educational supervision, research activities, and leadership roles within the specialty. Communication & Skills

Degree in Medicine (BMB, MBChB or equivalent) GMC Licence to practice Eligibility to work in the UK FRCPath part 1 (or recognised equivalent) FRCPath part 2 (or recognised equivalent) Higher Research Degree eg MD/DM, PhD Experience

Minimum of two years post-graduate clinical training in hospital-based general/internal medical specialities including at least 12 months of acute (unselected) general/internal medicine. Broad experience of training in Haematology (including experience of lymphoma/CLL); a minimum of 2 years’ experience at ST(registrar)-level at the time of taking up this post, with evidence of clear progression of training Experience in making clinical decisions for patients with blood cancer, appropriately managing risk, and recognising when to seek advice Demonstrable ability to work effectively in different clinical settings (inpatient/outpatient/daycase) at the level of an experienced ST(registrar)-level doctor Evidence of a keen interest in teaching and training CCT (completion of speciality training) in Haematology Evidence of commitment to Lymphoma/CLL as a long-term sub-speciality focus Evidence of specific training in teaching/education Formal teaching/training qualification Come and join our wonderful team at NUH.
