Job Purpose: To offer a wide range of academic options for students. To be confident in leading lessons in one or more of the following subject areas: Science, Business, Humanities, Sport, Computing & Coding, Creative Arts. This job description is written at a specific time and is subject to change as the demands of the Collegiate and the role develops. The role requires flexibility and adaptability and the employees of the Collegiate need to be aware that they may be asked to perform tasks and be given responsibilities not detailed in this job description.
Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver the Short Course programme and curriculum to all attendees. Deliver fun and engaging lessons and activities. Assist in the general running of each short course. Help students to navigate their daily timetables, support staff in the arrangement of each day and communicate with all team members as required. Be a positive, energetic and enthusiastic team member to ensure that our short course attendees receive the best possible experience. Supervision and monitoring of student behaviour in attendance. Ensure, always to be identifiable by wearing correct uniform with name badge. Undertake any training as required by the school or SFM. This includes but is not limited to; Child Protection and Safeguarding and In-house training. Work with other departments within the Estate to ensure the smooth operation of facilities, such as Boarding, Academic, Leisure and Pastoral. Actively promote evening and weekend facilities available to best maximise usage. Enforce school policies and contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school. Record and report all incidents, accidents and near misses. Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health and safety, security, confidentiality, and data protection. Report all concerns to the appropriate person(s). Support the department with their duties as required, covering for illness/absence as required, whenever possible. Support the summer school team with staffing on day and residential trips. Ensure all visitors are received courteously and professionally, following the school’s visitor security procedure. Carry out day to day administrative duties i.e. emails.
