Centre Lathe Turner required for a well-established specialist supplier of hydraulic and Electric Submersible Pumps. The successful candidate will be undertaking setting and operating manual lathes. It is envisioned that the successful candidate will come from a background in manual machining with a strong level of turning experience, have completed a mechanical apprenticeship, and be based within a commutable distance of Sheffield.

Set and operate manual lathes Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, verniers, calipers, etc. Monitor feed and speed of manufacturing machinery Measure and record build tolerances and determine parts that require repair Self-inspect your own work with hand tools Centre Lathe Turner Position Requirements
Previous experience in the setting and operating of manual lathes Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings Either time served or City and Guilds qualified in Mechanical Engineering Familiarity with health and safety standards; any H&S qualifications would be a bonus Based within a commutable distance of Sheffield Full UK driving licence Centre Lathe Turner Position Remuneration
