About the Business: Our client, a highly versatile specialist in UV security printing, is seeking a skilled Hot Foil Printer to join their team. The company specialises in printing vouchers, certificates, stamps, tickets, and business stationery items.
Key Responsibilities: Operating hot foiling machinery, embossing, die-cutting, numbering, sheeting, and fan-folding. Making ready-on composite layouts using supplied dies. Setting up to approved standards, checking against supplied film/copy, and referring to job instructions at all times. Pulling pass sheets and, upon approval, labelling and retaining them for future reference. Running jobs to the standard of the pass sheet. Checking quality throughout the run. Ensuring the final sheet matches the pass sheet upon job completion and preparing it for the next process. Completing paperwork/computer entries to close the job on the system. Undoing make-ready, ensuring dies and counterforces are damage-free and ready for storage and re-use. Identifying damaged tooling. Monitoring stock of consumable/make-ready materials. Keeping machinery clean and maintained to as-new standards. Conducting guard checks and machine checks as required. Identifying machine faults and alerting the manager if unable to resolve them. Following the work schedule as directed by the Production Manager and supervisors. Ensuring make-ready and run timings meet the expected standards of a fully trained competent operator. Education and Experience: Experience in the offset print industry. Proficiency in operating Dimuken foiling machinery or very similar lines. Experience running Hunkeler unwinds and rewinds, Tecnau sheeting lines, fan-folding and slitting machines, die cutting, and numbering. Effective communication skills in English.
