About the role: Astute's Renewables team is partnering with one of the most reputable sustainable energy companies in the UK and a pioneer in the sector. The company develops, constructs, owns, and operates their own renewable energy assets, and we are looking for a Field Service Engineer to attend their sites in and around Gloucestershire, which will be a mixture of EV chargers, large-scale solar, and battery storage assets. The Field Service Engineer role comes with a salary of £41,500, excellent development and progression opportunities, an electric vehicle with charge points on site, and company benefits. Responsibilities and duties: Reporting to the Field Service Manager, you will: Undertake planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer, and contractual requirements. Perform reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and resolution in a timely manner. Carry out site surveys as required. Compile accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner. Keep accurate and detailed records of electrical testing and safety documents that are suitable for audit. Ensure that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity. Comply with the company Health & Safety Policy, including carrying out general housekeeping. Comply with all aspects of the company's ISO standards: Quality management - ISO 9001 / Environmental - ISO 14001, proactively contributing to the company's continuous improvement programme. Participate in an on-call rota. Professional qualifications: We are looking for someone with the following: NVQ Level 3 electrical qualifications or equivalent. 17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations. Ideally at least a year's experience in electrical/O&M work. EV charge point commissioning and O&M experience would be advantageous. 3 Phase experience is ideal. Personal skills: The Field Service Engineer role would suit someone who is: A dynamic and flexible attitude. A full and clean UK driving license.
