Social network you want to login/join with: One of Northern Ireland’s premier construction contractors is now recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor due to ongoing growth. This company has been at the forefront of the construction industry for over 150 years and has produced some of the flagship projects in the region. Operating in the healthcare, education, industrial, and retail sectors, they have produced projects up to £120m in value. Due to continuing expansion and the winning of several new projects, this contractor is now recruiting for a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their prestigious commercial team.

Your new role You will be working within an integral part of the business as part of the commercial Team working on a variety of projects across NI and the UK. You will be heavily involved in assisting the Senior Team in the preparation and management of the project budget. Due to the location of projects, you will be required to travel to the UK 3 days a week. The value of these projects will vary, ranging from £5m to £50m, working on forms of contract NEC and JCT including full design and build requirements.

What you'll need to succeed You will be degree educated in Quantity Surveying and must have at least 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience working on large commercial builds. You will be computer literate and will have experience using relevant software. You must be ambitious, commercially astute, and keen to establish yourself as a Quantity Surveyor with a large main contractor who will be offering you a long-term view.
