Sales Engineer required for my client within the oilfield equipment manufacturer industry, based in Aberdeen. The successful sales engineer will join on a temporary basis with the aim and the vision to lead to a permanent position within the company. Sales Engineer Position Overview

To provide full sales and marketing support for the sales of the company's products and accessories especially in the field of API Gate Valve Repair and machine shop. Be able to work on their own initiative in the absence of Managers. Report on a weekly basis to the Sales Director all client visits. Compiling accurate sales history by client with set goals for those clients. Arranging and coordinating sales presentations as seen fit and in agreement with Sales Director. Maintaining a set of technical documents for sales of products. Reporting properly all good and bad client discussions. Compile annual objectives for agreement and approval by Sales Director. Be in control of sales and pricing strategies. Ensure all sales proposals are reviewed/counter-signed by Sales Director or other. Be actively involved with Work in Progress meetings. Working to deadlines with proposals. Follow up of proposals at all times. Maintain a high level of operational experience per product. Sales Engineer Position Requirements

Previous experience working in a sales role/environment within the oil and gas industry and/or valves industry - of engineering, is essential. Experience of API Gate Valve Repair and machine shop work. Based within a commutable distance of Aberdeen. Have a full UK driving licence. Sales Engineer Position Remuneration

Salary approx: £52,000 - dependent upon skill, experience and qualifications. Hours of Work: 8.30am - 5pm, with 1-hour lunch - 37.5-hour week. 3-month probationary period, should the position lead to permanent. Death in Service paid after a year - x 2 of salary. Private Health care offered after 2 years' service for employee and family. Holidays: 20 days + 10 Public holidays.
