We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Design Engineer with a background in Industrial, Product, or Furniture Design. Strong 3D modeling skills, particularly with SolidWorks, are essential, along with a proven track record of taking designs from concept to production. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and clear, effective communication skills are crucial for collaborating with diverse stakeholders and ensuring project success. While familiarity with 3D printing and prototyping is a plus, it is not mandatory. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and are passionate about innovative design, we’d love to hear from you! Some of the key responsibilities

Working closely with our functional teams to design innovative designs that meet the specific needs of the healthcare sector. Transform concept visuals into detailed designs, progressing through to prototype stages to final production-ready models. Ensure designs are functional, durable and aesthetically pleasing. Produce accurate and detailed 3D models of the furniture using SolidWorks to generate drawings for manufacture, prototype, and rendered images as required. Utilise 3D printing and other prototyping methods to develop and test design concepts. Knowledge of these technologies is useful but not essential. Maintaining internal records in the product database of the jobs. Liaise with manufacturers and internal staff to ensure a smooth flow of the product development and projects dealing with any issues or queries as they arise. Driving key new product projects forward to a given target date and budget. Requirements

You are qualified in Industrial/Product/Furniture design to degree level or equivalent Design engineering qualifications. Ideally with experience working in a similar Design Engineer role. Experienced in producing detailed drawings and designs for manufacture. Good manufacturing knowledge in furniture, or an equivalent industry. Excellent technical and engineering experience. Have excellent experience with CAD packages – SolidWorks (essential), Fusion 360 & Autodesk Inventor (advantageous). An excellent understanding of material properties and manufacturing processes. Comfortable managing multiple projects and working to tight deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You embody our company people values: Teamwork
