Job Summary Responsible for the research, provision and analysis of data used to inform Category Sourcing Strategies and tactical procurement arrangements including spend data, market data, supplier and supply chain data, product data, service data and trends. Job Responsibilities Creation and maintenance of an estimating database to predict future spend profiles and opportunities Responsible for understanding piece part manufacturing process flow Researching, tracking and predicting the cost of items such as materials, transport, labour and equipment by geographic location Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers to maintain level of market intel Supporting buyers in the assessment of quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame Assessing the risk levels associated with a project Assisting with bids for new contracts and supporting the activities of buyers Requirements Experience of working in a Manufacturing Engineering and/or Aerospace sector Educated to degree level in one of the following disciplines: Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or Physics Proficiency or high degree of interest in understanding global economics Analytical and forecasting skills The ability to read Aerospace engineering drawings and develop cost estimates The ability to analyse, model and interpret data A high level of mathematical ability The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines Proficient with MS Excel, databases and MS Office Suite products Problem-solving skills A methodical and logical approach The ability to plan work and meet deadlines Accuracy and attention to detail Interpersonal skills Written and verbal communication skills SAP experience Knowledge of Category Management Project Management Stakeholder Management Travel Requirements Occasional travel within the region We’ll offer you fantastic challenges and amazing opportunities.
