About the role
Health Sciences University is looking to appoint a new Lecturer in Speech and Language Therapy to contribute to our MSc Speech and Language Therapy (pre-registration), and the development of a new student-led on-site speech and language therapy service.
Reporting to the Speech and Language Therapy and Dietetics Subject Group Lead, the successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of clinical education to speech and language therapy students. Duties may include unit leadership, high quality teaching, assessment and constructive feedback to help students in their development. The post holder will be supported to develop research in support of the institution’s research strategy or to develop and undertake clinical practice within our dedicated onsite facilities. In addition, a key part of the role will be to support the development of an on-site student-led SLT clinical service.
About the person
We seek enthusiastic and highly motivated speech and language therapist to join our team who are HCPC registered with knowledge of the UK higher education sector. The successful candidate will have an ability to foster student learning and development, possess excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills and have a clear vision for the development of speech and language therapy education within the University.
The successful candidate must maintain their own development as a registered speech and language therapist and may contribute to the enhancement of pre-registration, post-registration and apprenticeship courses within the institution’s portfolio.
