Wesley Home Care South is looking for In-home Aged Care Support Workers based across the South West Sydney area including Fairfield, Liverpool, and Canterbury Bankstown local government areas. Other locations across Sydney are also available. Multiple positions are available delivering supports to older people across South East Sydney, Inner West, South West Sydney, and the Illawarra area. We are looking for proactive, energetic, empathetic individuals to work with Wesley Mission’s Home Care team. Successful applicants will work with older people supporting them to live independently in the community for as long as possible. In this role, you can expect to undertake a variety of tasks such as personal care, domestic assistance, transport, social support, community participation, and group activities. About Us

Certificate III in Individual Support Aged Care or willingness to obtain Current First Aid Certificate Previous experience working with frail aged people, people with dementia, and complex needs Experience in monitoring clients and reporting behavioural or health changes Experience with providing personal care, including the use of mobility aids Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently Understanding of WH&S issues and risk management for client home-based care and during transport of clients Comprehensively insured & registered motor vehicle and current NSW Driver’s Licence Those speaking a second language are encouraged to apply Experience in the aged care sector is desirable but not essential as training will be provided. Remuneration

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Social, Community, Home Care Services Industry Award as Home Care Worker Grade 3.
