Job summary We're looking for caring and compassionate nurses (RGNs) to join us as Sexual Offence Examiners to provide holistic care and support to victims of sexual assault. Main duties of the job Providing telephone advice to patients and colleagues. Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding. Using a camera system to document injuries and sharing information where appropriate. Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service. Conducting forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits. Job responsibilities This is a Full-Time Position of 42 hours per week. Shift patterns will be 12 hour shifts, 24/7, Monday-Sunday. Salary: £44, per annum. Whilst the position may be based from one location, additional travel may be a requirement of the role across SARCs, therefore a UK driving license is required for this role. Qualifications Essential Qualified Registered Nurse, Midwife, Paramedic. NMC pin, RGN A full UK driving license. Please note, all successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including an Enhanced DBS check, two satisfactory references, and Police vetting NVVP Level 2 checks. Because of the nature of the Sexual Offence Examiner, applications are invited from females only. This post has a genuine occupational qualification under the Sex Discrimination Act, Section 7(2)b and 7(2)e. Experience Essential A minimum of 3 years + Nursing post-qualification experience acute medical healthcare experience. Experience of working with vulnerable adults and children. Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and adults. Knowledge and understanding confidentiality.
