An exciting opportunity is being offered to cover an approx 1 year Maternity leave secondment as the Matron in Friston Urology/ ENT ward. The ward is a 28 bedded gateway area for emergency Urology/ ENT and Ophthalmology in patients. In addition, there are 2 direct streaming clinic rooms where Urology and ENT emergency patients are supported. Main duties of the job

Candidates should have excellent leadership skills and an understanding of the complexities of managing a large workforce. The post holder will be responsible for the effective clinical and operational management of the ward and will support both the Hailsham Matron/ Head of Nursing to drive the strategic direction of the service, ensuring a high quality service is delivered. Understanding of budget, risk management, and management of workforce is essential. About us

Qualifications

Registered Nurse and hold active registration with Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Masters level study relevant to role Experience

Experience in nursing care, knowledge and expertise relevant to the clinical area within NHS or relevant health care organisation Skills

Professional clinical knowledge and skills that demonstrate the ability to assess, plan, develop, and implement complex programmes of care/discharge Disclosure and Barring Service Check
