£25 - £30 per hour We are seeking an English Teacher to deliver GCSE and Functional Skills courses across multiple locations including Preston, Blackburn, and North Liverpool. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who is passionate about English literature and language and is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals. Day-to-day of the role:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to students at GCSE and Functional Skills levels. Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students. Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment by using a range of teaching strategies that cater to varied learning needs. Encourage students to think independently and to express their ideas with confidence. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and curriculum delivery. Participate in departmental meetings, parent meetings, and whole school training events. Required Skills & Qualifications:
Full teaching qualification at Level 5. Proven experience in teaching English at GCSE level or equivalent. Strong understanding of the English curriculum and assessment frameworks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage and inspire students from diverse backgrounds. Commitment to continuous professional development. Benefits:
