Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated senior clinical pharmacist to work closely with the community-based staff and be responsible for: Establishing a baseline and database of HDAT (High Dose Antipsychotic Therapy) prescribing within the STaTT community teams Stock control and ordering of medicines into community bases, specifically typical and atypical depot medicines Assurance that preparations prescribed are generic Main duties of the job To ensure that drug therapy is evidence-based, safe, cost-effective and appropriate to the individual patient. Education & Qualifications Essential Pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Non-Medical Prescribing Qualification Experience Essential Experience of delivering a clinical pharmacy service including prescribing Experience of working in mental health. Evidence of sound technical pharmaceutical & clinical knowledge to optimise safe and effective use of medicines. Experience of policy/procedure writing and implementation Experience in cost improvement programmes/managing changes Desirable Conflict resolution experience Knowledge & Skills Essential Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing Able to plan own workload with priorities and objectives and cope with conflicting pressures Able to work as a team and independently Ability to influence the prescribing practice of others.
