A reputable company is looking to recruit a Payroll Manager to join their small but friendly team on a part-time, permanent basis. This is a part-time role, 24 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate and salary. As Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for providing key support to the Finance Department with the efficient and effective management of the payroll function, including processing monthly payrolls and ad-hoc administration duties. You will assist in the efficient and effective processing of payroll information in line with the finance calendar and be able to report on movements to the Operations Team. Responsibilities:

Prepare and process end-to-end payroll for multiple companies within the group on a monthly basis. Provide Payroll services in a professional and timely manner. Act as the main point of contact for any payroll queries for all employees within the group. Stay knowledgeable about existing and new legislation and ensure all processes adhere to requirements. Submit relevant information to HMRC as required throughout the monthly payroll processes and manage any HMRC queries. Manage and maintain the time and attendance system / clocking in machine. Prepare and distribute payroll reports to the relevant departments. Liaise and coordinate with colleagues in various departments as necessary. Manage the starter and leavers process, including issuing induction documentation via Docusign. Monitor holiday entitlements and issue regular updates to Head of Departments. Prepare and process payroll journals for accounting purposes. Ad-hoc administrative tasks, including producing employee contracts and new-starter HR documentation. Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role. High levels of accuracy and strong attention to detail. Self-motivated, self-disciplined, and a strong sense of accountability. Experience with Sage 50 Accounts and Payroll is advantageous. Trustworthy and honest. Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. Excellent interpersonal/communication skills. Display enthusiasm and initiative to broaden own experience and have a positive outlook.
