We have 1 permanent vacancy for a Mechanical Engineer within the Premix Production Department working on a dayshift rotation (6.00am – 3.00pm and 09.00am – 6.00pm). There will also be a requirement to work additional hours for breakdowns.

This role sits within the Animal Nutrition and Health business unit, generating the nutritional premix and additives to mix into animal feed.
Your key responsibilities
Carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines.
Understanding the scope and safety issues relating to allocated work.
Signing off the RAPTW and initiate a handover of the equipment to production.
Manage & maintain all mechanical jobs/maintenance on Ultimo.
Scheduling work and ordering parts within maintenance budget.
Carrying out defined work in accordance with DSMs SHEQ requirements.
Recording relevant job history.
Entering an accurate time recording for the job.
Completing all relevant paperwork.

You bring
The successful candidate will be expected to be a time-served Mechanical tradesman with a ONC or equivalent through knowledge and experience and at least 5 years experience in an automated environment.
Candidates should have a proven track record of technical competence in their own area of discipline with fault finding and manual skills.
Other essential behaviors are good communication, flexible approach, self-starter and team player. Preference will be given to any person who has in-depth Ultimo experience.
