We are recruiting on behalf of a National Main Contractor based in Central Scotland. They are looking to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor to oversee two large value public sector projects in West Central Scotland and Angus. Projects up to £70m in value. This is a high-level management role where you will report to the Commercial Director monthly. What You'll Be Doing:

Manage Project Finances:

Oversee the financial aspects of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on budget. Lead a Team:

Supervise and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors, ensuring accurate cost management and financial reporting. Contract Administration:

Manage contractual relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions. Cost Control and Reporting:

Prepare and present detailed cost reports, forecasts, and valuations to senior management and clients. Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with construction projects, ensuring profitability and financial control. What You'll Need to Be Successful:

Educational Background:

A qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent. Experience:

Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor (or Senior Quantity Surveyor) in the construction industry, with a track record of managing large-scale projects. Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost control procedures, and financial reporting. Proficient in relevant software tools. Leadership Skills:

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team. Attention to Detail:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. What is on Offer:
