About The Role Definition: A person who is responsible for the production of MEICA tender estimates, tender stage design co-ordination and associated project-specific information required within tender submissions. Responsibilities: Align to the Coffey tendering procedure including tender strategy, mid-tender reviews, price and technical reviews. Prepare pricing for Design-Build projects working in tandem with the civil estimating team. Working collaboratively and supporting the proposals team as part of the tender submission. Drafting and reviewing technical deliverables as prescribed within the tender submission requirements. Collaboratively working and coordinating internal and/or external designers for MEICA and Process components of the tender. Assessing risks and opportunities associated with tenders and incorporating them in the tender assessment. Supply chain management including managing the ‘Request for Quotation’ procedure for tenders. Identification of new suppliers, technologies and innovations within the industry. Producing tender programmes aligned to the tender design and in collaboration with the civil estimator. Coordinating the handover process of successful tenders and confirming all tender knowledge and information is handed over to the project delivery team. Supporting the implementation of process improvements within the MEICA estimating team, supporting the Bid Manager in implementation of team initiatives and mentoring junior personnel. Aligning to Coffey HSQE policies and procedures. About You Requirements: A degree in a relevant Engineering or Construction discipline. Over 10 years’ experience working in the Construction Industry, with experience in water/wastewater being an advantage. Able to manage work within fixed deadlines. Understanding of the construction process through relevant construction experience. Understanding of procurement processes through relevant experience. Good technical writing skills and attention to detail. Positive attitude to workload and learning. Be a team player, willing to work with a variety of subject matter specialists to create excellent tenders. Be self-driven and demonstrate a willingness to work on your own initiative, develop improvements and keep up to date with industry knowledge. Previous experience in planning or estimating software would be beneficial but is not essential. Full clean Irish/UK/EU Driving Licence.
