We are now looking for a Head of Channel Development to develop and deliver the organisation’s CRM and digital channel proposition, by ensuring that a comprehensive and coherent strategy exists and is implemented. Working closely across all areas of marketing and around the business to ensure requirements are met, the result will be a measurable, market leading customer experience that delivers against objectives and one that integrates as appropriate with OEM and Dealer partners. The role is a hybrid role based in Redhill, Surrey with at least days a week attendance in the office. Additional flexibility is required according to business needs. Responsibilities will include: Developing a fully aligned point of sale and online customer experience. Developing and utilising digital and online platforms as sales and service functions for customers and internal stakeholders. Delivery of a market leading customer communication and retention programme. Integration into OEM and Dealer partner activity. Develop an annual activity plan outlining timings and high-level deliverables. Lead the delivery of agreed activity in line with prescribed budgets, through ongoing review, monitoring and management of costs. Establish a sound working relationship with the other marketing HODs, the respective Heads of Sales for each business division, with internal stakeholders across other business functions, with the key OEM and Dealer partners and with external suppliers. Manage the CRM and digital team, through the setting of clear, well-communicated objectives and through ongoing coaching, guidance and development as necessary. Maintain and develop further a true end-to-end online sales transactional capability for SCUK, one that is flexible in nature, has multiple customer ‘calls to action’ and that can be delivered either directly to consumers or through integration with partner websites (OEM and Dealer). Lead the development and delivery of digital and online services for both internal and external stakeholders so as to manage and maintain relationships and meet the needs of all customers when it comes to interacting with SCUK. Drive the Customers for Life programme by continuously developing and evolving the proposition through digital tools and platforms, training and development programmes and working closely with OEM and dealer partners to embed the culture and ethos of renewal management. Lead the mapping of an end-to-end customer communication plan, clearly defining pre-sale, sales, ownership and renewal touch-points, and through utilising portfolio intelligence and propensity modelling, optimise renewal opportunities by establishing and refining activity and processes. Utilise appropriate insight (industry, business, customer and technological etc.), to drive the continual improvement of digital products and services with a lens on good customer outcomes. Look for ways to differentiate the SCUK business offering, in order to generate added value to the organisation’s customers, OEM partners and dealers. Develop any qualifying ideas from concept to inception following the required processes. Adhere to the company’s policies and processes with regards personal conduct and the mitigating of material risk. Ensure the way services are developed are aligned to the overall business blueprint and values, and the needs of Consumer Duty are met. Work in collaboration with SCUK compliance function to ensure that all services have been through the required governance and continue to meet the required standards of the organisation. Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the organisation’s risk framework. What we’re looking for: Has extensive experience within the Marketing arena with specific focus on the development of sales channels, having ideally worked in both a B2B and B2C intermediary environment. Has held previous positions that required input into strategic planning as well as operational level project delivery and team management. Has worked in an organisation where multiple stakeholder management was common and where exposure to an international as well as domestic business operation existed. Has extensive experience of analysing data and MI and extracting the insights that inform and direct effective and intelligent deliverables. Is able to produce sound strategic and working documentation and presentations, including business case proposals, briefs and presentations. Can demonstrate ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the business and can tailor communication style to achieve the most impact and deliver desired outcomes. Has a keen understanding of industry wide and marketing specific legal, regulatory and compliance issues and is knowledgeable about the FCA’s principles of business including the ‘Consumer Duty’ code of conduct. Has experience of working within budget parameters and is able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of managing costs and apportioning spend for best value and impact. Is able to demonstrate experience and close familiarity with risk principles and controls especially in a regulated environment. It is expected that any candidate is able to display a good understanding of the general market sector, can exhibit sound business acumen, has excellent interpersonal skills and is comfortable and confident when dealing with senior-level management.
