Are you a technically strong qualified accountant looking for your next challenge? Maybe you want your first move from practice and are keen to get some commercial industry experience? If either is the case, we'd be keen to hear from you as our South Somerset based client is looking to bolster their reporting team with a people-centric senior reporting accountant.
This role will oversee a small team and take responsibility for the budget and forecast preparation, statutory accounts, divisional monthly management accounts, analysis and commentary around accounting variances, and supporting with the internal and external audit process. This is just a small selection of duties as this is an extremely varied role, so you won't be bored and you'll constantly be challenged.
You'll be someone who enjoys process improvements and creating better ways of working, quickly recognising processes and procedures that aren't up to scratch. You'll have a decent knowledge of reporting standards and be someone who really enjoys getting to grips with amendments and changes and the impacts these will have on the finance function.
