A service engineer position has become available with a leading OEM of steel processing machinery.
This position offers a strong basic salary of up circa £47K - £50K, annual bonuses, no call out or standby, company vehicle with a choice of van or car, fuel card, 32 days holiday, a fantastic pension, private healthcare, and lots of other great benefits. They have a head office here in the UK for machine storage, refurbishment and distribution, as well as a global headquarters in Europe where the machines are built.
Responsibilities
Installation, Commissioning, Maintenance & Service of machines and equipment Using Siemens S7 to fault find and interrogate Routine service, checks and breakdown maintenance both mechanical and electrical Part of a team of 10 engineers, primarily covering the midlands and north west of the UK, but prepared to travel nationally & Ireland when required Completing factory acceptance tests and audits before, during, and after installations Providing end user support to customers as well as training and demos Use of laptop to complete all service and maintenance documentation, and to submit timesheets / expenses This role represents an excellent opportunity to work in a growing business within a solid and stable market, and will enjoy a high degree of trust to ensure jobs are completed or delivered as planned. There is a robust training package with this role too, working for an OEM they offer product training in the UK, and overseas in Europe after the probation period is completed. Requirements
Previous experience as a field service engineer working for a similar OEM of laser, cutting or press machinery Multi-skilled both mechanically and electrically, along with electrical training ideally to city & guilds or equivalent Solid understanding of PLC's to fault find on inputs and outputs Willingness to travel nationally and show flexibility when required Full clean driver's license ASC Connections Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
