Complying with the responsibilities of the principal designer under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015). Informing and assisting clients in discharging their duties at each stage of the process under CDM 2015. Visiting sites and carrying out an initial appraisal to establish existing hazards and site restrictions. Attendance at design team meetings, workshops, and project progress meetings. Setting up the design risk register and carrying out CDM design reviews/workshops. Assist designers to design out risk and maintain the design risk register. Preparation of RIBA Stage CDM/Principal Designer reports. Advising and assisting clients in the appointment of designers and contractors. Preparation and issue of the Pre-Construction Information. Submission of the F10 Notification to the HSE and review of Construction Phase Plans prior to works starting on site. Carrying out site inspections during the construction phase to monitor compliance. Undertaking site H&S inspections and report writing. Assist with the writing of risk assessments and safe systems of work for clients. Health and Safety/CDM Consultant Requirements
Construction related degree (desirable). Minimum of 18 months in a similar role. NEBOSH in Construction or equivalent qualification. Membership to IOSH, APS, IIRSM, or similar professional body. Excellent understanding of 2015 CDM Regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Full UK driver’s licence. Benefits
