Key Responsibilities

As our

Principal Engineer,

you will lead Marine Warranty Survey (MWS) document reviews and management of projects and packages for renewable transport and installation projects. You will oversee a team of Engineers, assigning and reviewing their work. You will also be required to attend operations onshore and offshore. Additionally, you will: Prepare proposals for bids, tenders, and business development opportunities for MWS projects. Plan and execute MWS engineering work scope, managing deliverables, resources, and schedules for projects. Review and approve engineering design calculations and analysis pertaining to the project in accordance with international codes and standards. You will also conduct engineering verification analysis as required. Lead and manage engineers to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Attend internal and external / third party meetings to ensure smooth project execution. Ensure engineering integrity, manage change, and oversee real-time scheduling and forecasts. Develop and maintain the budget for MWS projects including control of changes. Ensure all MWS and engineering deliverables comply with company policies and procedures. Participate in design reviews, audits, and engineering evaluations. Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and satisfaction. Mentor and train engineers on MWS document reviews and analysis. Promote and ensure compliance with Quality & HSE standards across projects and operations. The role is based in

London, UK

and the incumbent will have the right to work and reside in the

United Kingdom.

There will be a requirement for onsite and offshore attendance and time with clients.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We seek a motivated, solution-focused professional with strong technical skills and exceptional decision-making abilities. Ideal candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively. Additionally, you will: Degree in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent. Chartered Engineer status. 10+ years in offshore structures. In-depth knowledge of MWS industry standards and codes. The ability to apply industry standards and codes to designs analysis and offshore installations. Strong leadership, project management, and client relations. Proficient in engineering software. Detail-oriented, client-focused, and proactive. Strong communication and business acumen. Desired Skills: Master’s degree or equivalent.
