East and North Hertfordshire (ENH) Place Team are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and dynamic Operational Lead to join our team. The Operational Lead will work with providers and other key stakeholders to support the day-to-day management of urgent and emergency care pressures across the ENH Place Team, along with an understanding of system actions and to provide assurance and escalation where additional support is required. You will work collaboratively with various partners to ensure efficient and effective processes are in place to meet goals and objectives, alongside implementing actions that result from the daily calls to support the delivery of safe patient care and national targets. A strategic component will involve managing projects to support the achievement of both the organisational and the Urgent Care Recovery program objectives. The post holder will support the Deputy Head of System Resilience and the day-to-day oversight of system pressures across the Integrated Care Board footprint, deputising as required. Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Head of UEC and Resilience to ensure work streams are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery. Attend System Resilience meetings throughout the day and deputise for the Deputy Head of UEC and Resilience as required, taking and delivering on the reporting, actions, and outcomes to support service delivery. Work closely with system partners to maintain day-to-day management of system performance and resolution of risks and issues as they arise. Facilitate resolution of clinical issues including pathway barriers and provide support for individual patient flow issues. Represent the ENH Place Operations team at various ENH Place and ICB wide system meetings with colleagues from partner organisations. Provide a consistent resource for day-to-day escalations from ENH Place system partners, ICB wide and for out of area escalations. Support the maintenance and delivery of key operational national and local priorities and standards within the system. Lead on the daily operational reporting requirements both internally and externally as required including NHS England using several BI tools. Prepare presentations and formal detailed reports on behalf of the System Resilience Team. Own and manage a portfolio of projects. Monitor and review financial spend on behalf of the department as required. Working for our organisation

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area. Post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent. Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment. Evidence of continued professional development. Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments. Experience of managing risks and reporting. Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment. High level of experience with Microsoft Office packages particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Clinical experience. Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques, and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project. Communications Skills

Ability to prepare and produce concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required. Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders. Analytical

Ability to analyse very complex issues where material is conflicting and drawn from multiple sources. Knowledge of Financial Systems e.g. monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement. Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills. Planning Skills

Demonstrated capability to plan over short, medium, and long-term timeframes and adjust plans and resource requirements accordingly.
