Vacancy: Maintenance Planner & Scheduler

You will be responsible for all planned maintenance activities; this includes either the area/s assigned or all the areas at Brimsdown site. You will plan and prepare for the successful completion of future maintenance work producing forecasts to facilitate short term and long-term planning. That includes communicating and liaising with production planning and the projects team to ensure works are planned in conjunction with operational requirements. You will plan and organise routine and non-routine maintenance activities including periodic shutdowns and stock take shutdown and schedule and organise resources (internal and external) including spares coordination.
You will also maintain accurate and complete documents and records relating to all maintenance activities in the system and physically in the engineering library. You will be expected to drive change in the maintenance planning and scheduling role to bring the company in line with best-in-class practices.
Your responsibilities:
Proactively promote a positive Health & Safety culture and ensure adherence to JM policies (including HR/EHS/Security).
Administer the Maintenance Planning Process as defined in the JM Maintenance Planning Procedure.
Develop and issue the short-term plan (weekly, monthly) and support the development of the medium and long term (3, 12, 60 Monthly) maintenance plan; working with departments to develop and update the plans.
Management of scheduling activities for assets, e.g. resource availability, vendor readiness, materials availability etc. ensuring spare parts availability through spares coordination with stores.
The detailed integrated planning and scheduling of SIMOPS to avoid escalation of risk through concurrent activities.
Working with operations and reliability engineers, continuously review plant performance, adapting maintenance plans where necessary in order that overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) targets are met.
Requirements for the role:
Hold a formal qualification in engineering such as HNC/HND or equivalent - Essential.
Completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship / vocational training - Essential.
Mechanical maintenance experience gained in industrial environments - Essential.
Hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent - Desirable.
Have a background in high hazard chemical environment (COMAH) - Desirable.
Experience of LEAN manufacturing methodology - Desirable.
Working knowledge of CMMS (SAP) - Essential.
