Miller Maxwell is assisting a global electronic trading group expanding globally. They seek to hire a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join this Tier-1 electronic trading organisation that is not only stable but also outperforming its competitors in the current economic climate!

The electronic trading organisation is expanding its London team in 2025 and is looking for a talented Senior C++ Software Engineer to be part of this exciting journey. As a Senior C++ Software Engineer, you will: Contribute to the development strategy of their core electronic platform. Assist the Engineering Manager with the growth of the team. Define and be involved in development projects for their real-time trading engine. Work collaboratively with internal and external testing and engineering teams. Drive advancements in platform automation. Take ownership of business and technical change requests. Design and plan software change documentation. Conduct integration testing to ensure high-quality QA. The Senior C++ Software Engineer requirements: A STEM background. Experience developing electronic trading software. Significant C++ development experience within a financial services setting. STL and UNIX environment experience. Experience with electronic trading, exchange trading, low-latency trading, and financial-based trading systems. Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and diagnostics. Ability to suggest and research new technologies, and quickly adapt to change. Future-proofing their technology environment is key for this position. They need a Lead C++ Software Engineer who can bring new ideas, contribute to projects, assist with the adoption of automation, and help senior stakeholders grow the team.
