Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
To ensure integrity and high quality of books and records to meet best-practice financial reporting that caters both internal and external requirements
Adherence to Compliance in all accounting practices and processes
Ensure implementation & adherence to Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines (SFRG) / IFRS and other internal guidelines by SGRE accordingly
Drive and contribute to the various ongoing and upcoming projects (e.g. SE integration, SRP changes and implementations, Knowledge / Process Champion concepts, transition / integration projects, etc.)
Being a business partner, collaborate with business units and other corporate functions, wherever necessary to achieve a common SGRE objective within accounting topics
Oversee and manage all day-to-day accounting operations and proper application of accounting systems for reporting entities
Manage the bookkeeping operations in general ledger accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed assets, Cash and bank, and inventory accounting, including month end journal vouchers / postings
Collaborate with central accounting headquarters, the statutory auditors, outsourcing partners (Local GAAP, transactional accounting etc.) and other relevant stakeholders
Manage the external audit to ensure that it is efficient and is completed in a timely manner with high quality
Manage the monthly / quarterly / yearly closing and reporting, for all stakeholders as per the scheduled timelines
Contribute to the global OAC team in terms of content, being a Knowledge / Process Champion and drive common accounting topics globally for the OAC community
What You Need To Make a Difference
A passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for…
A qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or similar) with extensive experience and strong Financial Reporting Standards knowledge (IFRS) and practical experience in project-based organization
The ability to communicate across large organisations at all levels and have strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in an intercultural environment would be desirable
The SGRE UK&I OAC team has two GL finance managers and one finance graduate. The Senior GL accountant will achieve the objectives above by managing the tasks performed by these individuals. Direct (disciplinary) line management will remain with the Head of Accounting for these individuals but day to day any GL topics will be resolved by the Senior GL accountant with this wider team
This role requires the ability to travel within UK and EU (Denmark/Germany/Spain)
