The Company Seymour John are thrilled to be supporting with the recruitment for a financial accountant for our client based in Telford. The Opportunity This is an evolving role where you will support key stakeholders preparing the statutory accounts, where your key responsibilities include: Supporting with the group statutory audit and preparation of financial statements. Monthly consultations with stakeholders regarding the preparation of the monthly financial statements. Review of the monthly financial statements of the business entities to ensure compliance with IFRS standards and internal guidelines. Create and review process descriptions and documentation which are considered in the financial accounting manual. Proactively verify and test new tools whilst ensuring compliance with process standards. Query of training needs and holding internal training courses. Personal Profile Ideally, you will be working towards an ACCA/ACA qualification, alongside experience of preparing statutory financial statements and audits. You will have a working knowledge of Excel including formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment. You will be working with people from both financial and non-financial backgrounds, where strong communication skills will be key. This role does involve some overseas travel (2-3 times a year).
