Location: Chelmsford Salary: £85 - £140 per day Start Date: Immediately Contract Type: Full-time Job Advert: SEMH LSA Position Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual looking to make a difference in the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are currently seeking a committed SEMH LSA (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Learning Support Assistant) to join our secondary schools in Chelmsford, starting immediately. As a SEMH LSA, you will play a vital role in supporting students' emotional and educational development, helping them to thrive in a school environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, fostering their emotional well-being and academic progress. Assist teachers in implementing tailored learning plans and strategies to meet individual student needs. Create a safe and nurturing environment that encourages positive behaviour and engagement in learning. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary. Work collaboratively with other staff members to promote an inclusive and supportive school culture. Who We Are Looking For: The ideal candidate for the SEMH LSA position will have a strong understanding of SEMH challenges, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for supporting young people. Experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
