Shift Manager - Brighton, East Sussex The role of a Shift Manager is key in supporting the franchisee to ensure the store is run efficiently and profitably in accordance with the company policies and procedures. You will directly lead, coach and inspire all team members to ensure they provide total customer satisfaction and a great product at all times whilst controlling costs and building sales. We’re looking for someone with proven management experience, ideally gained in the food franchise, restaurant or hospitality sector. A Shift Manager role with GDK is rewarding and involves working flexible hours in a fun, team environment. Responsibilities:

General Responsibilities Action the business performance of the restaurant set by the Restaurant Manager. Manage restaurant sales levels and profitability. Implement marketing activities, such as promotional events and discount schemes. Prepare reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control, wastage, and sales. Create and execute plans for departmental sales, profit, and staff development. Stock Control Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient and continuous operation. Manage weekly/daily ordering to maintain stock levels and place special orders for functions in a timely manner. Coordinate all aspects of stock deliveries and maintain accurate records. Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established GDK standards. Training Provide staff training and ongoing support. Ensure store staff are well-groomed and ready for work. Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, sanitation, health, and safety as per GDK policies. Ensure food standards and presentation are in accordance with GDK standards. Meet and greet customers whenever possible. Address customer queries or complaints promptly. Train staff on fire and safety procedures and demonstrate proper equipment usage. Other Responsibilities Identify additional revenue opportunities. Possess knowledge of ingredients and cooking methods if requested by a customer. Prepare duty rosters while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene procedures. Assist other staff as needed. Minimize wastage. Work effectively in a team and motivate others. Hold a basic Food Hygiene Certificate. Conduct daily staff briefings and ensure punctuality. Monitor and record temperature of freezers and chillers every hour. Arrange store maintenance as required. Support and adhere to the company's equal opportunities policy.
