Corporate Governance Officer
on a
locum
basis for an initial 3-month period, with the very high potential for long-term extension. Requirements: Experience working as a corporate governance officer in a public sector organisation or local authority Experience with smaller sized councils would be advantageous Experience dealing with senior politicians and lawyers in previous roles Qualified lawyer with experience in governance would be ideal, but not essential Duties/Responsibilities: Supporting the Monitoring Officer with all levels of governance support Understanding the Procurement Act and being able to support with this Conducting and researching areas of governance Liaising with politicians and senior lawyers Mentoring and training less experienced team members Deputising for senior members of the legal team when necessary If you are interested in this
