Product Designer

Working from a design brief or existing drawings, being able to support the design, development and engineering of existing and new Wavin products Generate visual material to communicate concepts internally Assist in the early-stage product design concepts such as sketches, models and component drawings Take a lead role in communicating the design and its requirements to product management, operations, material supplier, tool design and other third-party suppliers To generate and update product drawings Issue of product drawings to procedure when requested Provide administrative support to the department Support Wavin WorkSafe initiatives within the department Carry out any other reasonable ad hoc duties as and when required The profile

The successful candidate will have good knowledge on Microsoft Office software, specialist CAD skills, and project management skills. Working knowledge of SolidWorks is also required with a minimum of one year’s experience in a similar environment. The post holder will possess knowledge of rapid prototyping technologies and manufacturing methods and processes with a focus on injection moulding. A full UK driving licence and A levels or an equivalent qualification in a relevant course is essential. A degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, industrial design, or experience in product design, engineering, industrial design or manufacturing technology is desirable in addition to CNC programming.
