Working as part of the Analytics team supporting the Ecommerce division with technical expertise around data collection and tracking of key metrics as well as providing clear insights utilising web data. The Ecommerce Data Analyst should be able to convert complex data into concise presentations that tell a logical story, with clear recommendations on potential actions that can be taken. Key Responsibilities

Delivering valuable insights based on varied business issues, calling on various techniques based on the business question at hand. Managing relationships with key stakeholders to identify insight requirements, the challenges they’re facing and how we can assist with delivering their roadmap. Continuously thinking about the commerciality of insights and how we can quantify the impact of decisions we influence – in order to build a solid understanding of where we can deliver most value and how we should prioritise work in the future. Proactively identifying further business needs by fostering relationships throughout the business. Developing tools, reporting and processes that can improve the insight and analytical capabilities of the team and wider business – with a key focus on advancing the democratisation of data to ensure non-analytical colleagues in the business can answer more basic or routine questions for themselves. A key element of the role is the provision of automated visualisations to help build awareness & understanding within the business partnership, ensuring stakeholders have the tools they need to ensure data & insights are used in every decision. Minimum Requirements

Educated to a degree level (2:1 of above preferred) or with demonstrable relevant experience. Experience working with BigQuery essential (Google analytics & GA4 advantageous). At least 2 years’ experience with one or more database technologies (Big Query, T-SQL, PL-SQL, etc.) – including a solid understanding of SQL programming. Experience working with large datasets, writing efficient code & generating analysis to tight deadlines with stakeholders. Awareness of ETL processes and database automation. Experience of visualisation software essential (Power BI/ Datastudio / Looker). Understanding of analysis methodologies essential (statistical technique advantageous). Confident in Microsoft Excel and the rest of the Microsoft Suite (or cloud-based equivalents).
