Agnico Eagle Mines' Detour Lake Mine is situated on the traditional homelands of the Apitipi Anicinapek Nation, Moose Cree First Nation, and Taykwa Tagamou Nation. Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Superintendent, you will be part of the Environment & Sustainability Department. You will provide geospatial expertise to support environmental monitoring, reporting, and management. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment. Develop and maintain spatial datasets for environmental monitoring (e.g., water quality, wildlife habitats); Conduct spatial analysis and modeling to support environmental assessments and reporting; Create maps and visualizations to communicate environmental data to stakeholders; Design and maintain environmental databases and spatial data infrastructure; Ensure data quality, accuracy, and integrity; Collaborate with environmental staff to integrate GIS data with other environmental systems; Analyze and visualize environmental data for reporting purposes; Develop and maintain environmental dashboards and metrics; Ensure GIS data and analysis meet regulatory requirements; Collaborate with environmental staff to ensure compliance with environmental regulations; Provide GIS training and support to environmental staff; Participate in environmental audits and assessments; Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Operations, Geology) to integrate GIS data. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Environmental Science, or related field; Years of experience with GIS software (e.g., ArcGIS, QGIS); Strong understanding of spatial analysis, cartography, and geospatial data management; Experience working with environmental data and regulations; Knowledge/Experience with Intelex or other Environment Management Systems is an asset; Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is an asset; Familiarity with environmental modeling software (e.g., ArcHydro) is an asset; Knowledge of geospatial data standards and best practices is an asset; Certification in GIS (e.g., ESRI Certified Associate) is an asset. Your Work Schedule: Schedule: 4 days of work, followed by 3 days for transportation and rest; Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
