Title: Category Manager
Location: Nottingham
Salary: up to £50,000
Elevation Recruitment Group's Procurement & Supply Chain division are partnering exclusively with a key client based in Nottingham as they look to recruit the newly created role of Category Manager (Indirect). Duties & Responsibilities of the Category Manager will include:
Stakeholder management across the business, project co-ordination, working cross-functionally, setting and delivering on agreed timescales
Develop, implement, and refresh category plans which examine the marketplace and identify savings
Tender, evaluation and negotiation of long-term supply contracts complete with terms and conditions
Monitor and improve supplier delivery, quality and cost performance
Launch price enquiries with suppliers against new bids and evaluate/negotiate offers
Lead the supplier qualification process for new and existing sources of supply against allocated Indirect Categories
Key Skills & Experience:
3-5 years Indirect procurement experience
Experienced in project management / stakeholder management
Proven track record of cost savings and improvement to service level
Experienced negotiator / experienced in supplier relationship management
Understanding of basic engineering (desirable)
