Engineering Team , helping to keep our site running efficiently in order to deliver for our customers on time, every time. This

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

will be part of our small but mighty

Engineering Team

who work collaboratively with the production team on site. It’s a varied role – the main responsibilities will be working on planned maintenance and continuous improvement projects, although of course there will be reactive tasks too. Glassolutions

This is a shift role working 5 days a week: a week of early, a week of lates, and a week of nights. What we’re looking for: Minimum level II City and Guilds qualification in an engineering discipline 17th or 18th Edition Demonstrable multi-skilled engineering experience in a manufacturing setting Controlling and liaising with OEMs, suppliers and contractors as required Knowledge of PLC controls along with good Microsoft IT knowledge Excellent communication and the ability to influence and work collaboratively Experience with welding Able to read electrical, pneumatic and mechanical diagrams What you will be doing: Using the Shire system to identify and carry out planned maintenance tasks Reactive maintenance, attending breakdowns, fault-finding and fixing accordingly Sole responsibility for the engineering tasks on shift Work collaboratively with the production team to plan shutdowns and attend morning meetings to update wider site teams on activities Act as a health and safety ambassador, working within a safe system of work, including Permit to Work, Personal Protection Equipment, Working at Height, Isolation, Risk Assessment, etc. If you match our criteria, we will be in touch to discuss your experience and more about you as a person.
