Property Accountant , you will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the company s extensive property portfolio. From overseeing tenant rent charges and processing refunds to generating bespoke financial reports, you ll ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant financial management. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and experience in property accounting. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the accounts liaison between property management and finance teams, resolving queries and providing support. Manage tenant rent charges, refunds, and ad-hoc payment requests with precision. Oversee the arrears process: liaise with tenants, send arrears notices, and escalate unresolved cases. Handle aged debt recovery, including engaging with external agencies when required. Conduct credit control for supplier accounts, ensuring accurate payments and account order. Review supplier invoices for accuracy, authorisation, and compliance with quoted works. Approve utility payments for void properties, cross-checking against tenancy records. Provide financial reports on arrears, aged debt, and other bespoke reports as needed. What We're Looking For: Qualified or qualified by experience in accounting. A minimum of 2 years experience in general accounting, ideally within property accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Familiarity with property management software, such as Yardi, is a plus. Excellent communication, time management, and analytical skills. Why Join?
