Salary: GBP36000 - GBP36000 per annum + OT + Car + Benefits Catfoss Recruitment Ltd are currently in partnership with an established specialist manufacturing company that is looking to recruit a Field Service and Commissioning Engineer to their team on a permanent basis.

(North of England) About the Role We are looking to recruit a permanent, full-time Field Service and Commissioning Engineer, to work primarily on metering systems in power STN2 substations and power stations across the UK. A flexible working pattern to meet the needs of the business will be required, as this is a largely field-based role where there is regular travelling across the UK. You will be commissioning metering installations as well as carrying out accuracy checks, fault investigation/rectification, and maintenance. The role is predominantly Monday to Friday, with very occasional work at weekends. Although we are based in the south of England, this role does not require you to reside in this area; ideally, candidates should be located anywhere mid to north of England or the borders of Scotland. Responsibilities Ability to commission equipment to recognised standards and procedures. Experience of working at electricity substations. Experience in the use of risk assessments and method statements to support safe working. The ability to read and work to electrical engineering drawings. Excellent knowledge of working practices, techniques, procedures, and tool use. Training in Health and Safety and Environmental Issues. Flexibility to work across the UK. Self-motivation and the ability to work under your own initiative. Analytical and problem-solving abilities. Full, clean, UK driving license. Desirable Qualifications National Grid / Competent Person BESC Safety Passport Working at Height First Aid Recognised craft / technician apprenticeship, ONC / BTEC / C&G in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications Experience Electricity Substations: 3 years (preferred) 3-phase energy & 3-phase secondary injection kit (preferred) Location Requirements • Candidates must reside in the North of England to be able to cover this region. • UK Driving Licence (required) Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday, Company Car, Overtime, Benefits.
