We have an exciting opportunity to work for Wilson Vale as a General Catering Manager at Lands End in Oakham. You will have a hands-on approach, be a passionate innovator, and a dedicated leader. You’ll bring creativity and leadership to a dynamic team, crafting outstanding food experiences in a vibrant, fast-paced staff dining, general public & corporate environment. Serving exceptional quality and locally sourced produce over a breakfast and lunch service, featuring traditional English and Continental Buffet style breakfast with daily specials, fresh morning pastries, and a seasonal yoghurt bar. Creating exceptional lunch dishes across diverse counters, serving modern classics and world flavours including Bistro, Street Food, Grab & Go, Deli & Salad Bar. Homemade cakes, bakes, and patisserie items will also be offered, along with bespoke hospitality events including canape & hot nibbles. What you’ll do: Lead a talented team in delivering exceptional food across diverse counters. Drive innovation and strategy for seasonal menus, themed food concepts consistently promoting excellence in food quality & customer service. Oversee compliance with Health, Safety, Food Hygiene, and COSHH regulations, ensuring best practices are consistently followed. Engage with senior clients and customers, creating a high-impact front-of-house presence. Manage costs, budgets, and menu costings to achieve financial and qualitative targets. Inspire a team culture centered on excellence, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. What you bring: Proven experience in managing and leading a kitchen team in a Business & Industry (B&I) environment. Expertise in creating fresh, innovative food concepts with a customer-centric approach. Strong knowledge of industry trends, compliance standards, and budgeting principles.
